How it Works
The Web has evolved. It used to be a place where people came to just search for simple information. Now it's a place where people come to also share information. Information today that is multi-media and more complex. Information today that is real-time and social – recommended by people who know, and people you know. We call this new place The Living Web, and we've designed an evolved engine to help you get the most from it – a service to help you live the new web.
Personalized HomePage
We've developed a convenient customizable HomePage so you can access all that you care about on the web from one advanced start page, including your Facebook and Twitter. We've listed some default starter Widgets on your HomePage, but you can add from a long list of favorites by visiting the "Add Widgets" page.
Widgets
You can add news feeds such as celebrity news, applications such as Facebook and Twitter and much more as we continue to add some of the most popular services online. We call these Widgets and you can add them by clicking the "Add Widgets" link on your HomePage. The LeapFish HomePage is made of steel so feel free to add as many Widgets as you'd like.
Drag and Drop Widgets
After you've added your Widgets you can drag and drop them into new locations by clicking and holding the 4 arrow drag icon located at the bottom right corner of each widget. You can drag each widget up and down in the column that each is designated for.
Facebook
We've developed an advanced Facebook web application that allows you to quickly and conveniently interact with your entire Facebook. Update your Status, Comment, Like, View Photos, Friends and much more right through your LeapFish HomePage. It will always stay open so you can keep abreast of all your recent account activity.
Twitter
We've also developed an advanced Twitter web application that empowers you with the ability to interact with your entire Twitter account in the same way you can through Twitter. It will always stay open and updated so you can keep abreast of all your recent account activity right from your LeapFish HomePage.

Feel free to add as many Widgets as you like as your LeapFish HomePage will remember their positions when you return.
Create an Account
You don't have to create an account to experience some of the new search portal's features, but to add widgets, make searching and sharing smooth as well as use a growing list of other features including your own social media web profile you'll want to create a LeapFish account. We've made it easy for you with a quick and easy Facebook Connect login. So if you have a Facebook you can login to LeapFish without having to create an account, ever.
Multimedia Search
The Internet has changed. There is more content, more variety and more services that are all very valuable to us. LeapFish searches the traditional, multimedia and social web and providers results from all over the Internet from major authorities in their respective spaces. Here are some of the database and parts of the web we search; Google, Yahoo, Bing, YouTube, Twitter, Image Authorities, Blog Authorities, Wikipedia, Yelp, Digg, CyberHomes, Yahoo Answers, Amazon and many others from a growing list of providers. Use this feature by clicking on the "Search" button located next to the search bar.
Real Time Search
Find out what is happening "Right Now" across the Traditional Web and the Social Web regarding any topic using LeapFish Real Time Search. LeapFish searches Twitter, User Generated News Authorities, Videos, Imagery and more providing a multimedia Real-Time Search experience. Use this feature by clicking on the "Real Time" search button located next to the search bar.
Share Something
Sharing and searching are two of the most important things we, as users, do online. LeapFish has a developed a search platform where everyone can easily search and share anything on the web. Found a video result that was cool? Share it. Found a blog post that was useful? Share it. Found a juicy piece of news? Share it while its hot. Share the entire web and contribute great content to your social networks as you search. You can find this function as a "Share" button that appears as you hover over links and results.
Like Something
The wisdom of the crowd is a powerful thing. LeapFish has a developed an ability for users to "Like" search results that they find. ‘Liking" inserts chosen results into the "User Recommended Results" that then appear in LeapFish Search results for that particular search term. Found a good video on the topic you were searching for? "Like It" and vote it up for all who search after you to benefit. You can find this function as a "Like" button that appears as you hover over links and results.
Follow Bar
To make sharing easier we've developed a Follow Bar that will accommodate you as you view content off of LeapFish. The Follow Bar will be equipped with convenient sharing icons so you can share anything you view with a simple click. You can turn this feature off by clicking on the close icon on the far right hand side of the Follow Bar.
Search Interface Features
Video Play on Mouse Hover
Hover over nearly any video result and watch it play in full or use it as a sample
Image Load on Mouse Hover
Hover over nearly any image result and watch the full image load on your screen without having to leave the page.
Image Slide Show
Click on any set of image results (ie Facebook application, image results) and view a slide show of the full images returned one by one. Hover over the top right section of the slide show images and click on "Next" to view the next image in the slide set.
Panning (Next Page of Results)
We've enhance the search interface. Instead of loading an entire physical second page to view the next set of results for any given search, you can conveniently click on the arrows at the top of each search results set and automatically pan over to the next set of results while staying on the same page. Right Arrow slides second page of results into viewing, Left Arrow slides back to the previous set of results.

If you'd like to go to a deeper view of a results set (ie videos) simply click on the orange title of the section and you'll automatically be taken to YouTube for the full experience.
Specialty Searches
Looking for images only? If you'd like to do a specific search, such as video search or image search, simply click on the links in the blue navigation bar at the top of your page and enter in your search term. To go back to Web or Real Time either click on those options in the blue navigation bar or use the two buttons next to the search bar.
Social Profile
Ever want a complete personal social media web profile? Create a free account and setup your new personal social media profile that presents your bio, Twitter stream, videos, images, blogs, links and more in one easy to find page online. Be sure to get your profile handle before anyone else does (http://LeapFish.com/yourname)
Color Settings
In addition to homepage customization, LeapFish lets you build a more personalized feel. You can change the background color of your entire search engine or upload a unique background image from your computer. To upload a unique background image, you'll want to create an account first or login in using your Facebook account.
Make LeapFish Your Browser HomePage
Now that you have an advanced customizable search homepage, you can make it your browsers homepage so it loads every time you open your browser. Click on the "Make LeapFish Your Homepage" link located at the top of your homepage
Add LeapFish to Your Browser
Be sure to add LeapFish as an option in your browser's search options by click on the "Add LeapFish to Your Browser" link located at the top of your homepage. Once added you'll be able to search LeapFish from anywhere on the web.
